Concert Information

Location:
Concerts are held at River Parks Amphitheater, 2100 South Jackson, on the West bank of the Arkansas River.

 Dates:      All concerts take place on Tuesday evenings at 8pm.

June 22
  Universal Combustion Corporation and Waters Charitable Foundation "Big Band Tribute" featuring the Starlight Big Band.
June 29   Saied Music Company and The Jimmie & Helen Saied Foundation "Americana Night" including selections from favorite American genres performed by Starlight Band.
July 13 
 

The Charles & Marion Weber Foundation "Evening of Royalty."  If you've dreamed of happily ever after, you'll find it at this concert performed by Starlight Band.

July 20   Circle Cinema and Cedar Creek "Night at the Movies."  Starlight Band plays beloved movie themes during the first half of the program.  The second half of the evening features Laurel & Hardy in the classic silent short film "The Piano Movers" accompanied by live theater organist Jeanette Maxfield. 
July 27    Annual Contributors' Concert "Swingin' Under the Stars" with Starlight's Big Band.  Bring cash or a checkbook to bid on great prizes at the annual silent auction.   
 

Admission:    

Concerts are free to the public. Parking is also free. The venue is accessible to those with disabilities. Crowds of up to 2,000 attend each concert.


Concessions:    

Concessions are available at the venue.  The public can bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnic dinners, and pet dogs on a leash.

 

Door Prizes:     

Door prizes are donated by sponsors and given away at each concert.


Donations:        

Tax-deductible donations are accepted at each concert to help defray the costs of providing this free, quality entertainment.

Concert Information

Mission: To provide quality live music to the largest possible audience.  

v     Starlight is Oklahoma's only professional concert band and includes over 40 musicians under the direction of L. Dale Barnett, Music Director.  Scott Senter, Jazz Director, conducts the Starlight Big Band concerts.  

v     Programs include a variety of music including light classics, patriotic, Broadway, pops and big band jazz, and deliver "something for everyone".

v     Starlight is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, supported by local corporate sponsors and arts organizations, such as the National Endowment for the Arts, the Music Performance Trust Fund and the Oklahoma Arts Council.

v     2010 major sponsors include: Cedar Creek, Circle Cinema, Creative State, Liberty Press,  Local 94: American Federation of Musicians, Public Radio Tulsa: KWGS/KWTU, Saied Music Company and The Jimmie & Helen Saied Foundation, the Treeman Family Foundation, Tulsa River Parks Authority, Universal Combustion Corporation, the Waters Charitable Foundation and the Charles & Marion Weber Foundation.
